Gelli Printing Class: Create One-of-a-Kind Monoprints at The Pour Haus

January 23 @ 6:00 pm 8:30 pm

Discover the magic of Gelli printing and create your own collection of one-of-a-kind monoprints in this playful, beginner-friendly class on Friday, January 23 at The Pour Haus taught by Rosalie Gale of Ugly Baby. Using a gelatinous Gelli plate, you’ll experiment with rolling paint, layering stencils, adding textures, and pulling beautiful prints that are completely unique.

Students will learn how to build backgrounds, print botanicals, make impressions with everyday objects, and even perform image transfers. You’ll leave with a stack of gorgeous hand-printed papers—perfect for collage, mobiles, garlands, sketchbook covers, mixed-media art, or anything else your imagination dreams up.

All supplies are provided, but you’re welcome to bring small items to create interesting textures. Leaves, flowers, bubble wrap, Legos, lace, ribbon, and other found objects all make fantastic impressions. Students may also bring magazines to share for the image-transfer portion of class.

When: Friday, January 23
Time: 6:00 – 8:30pm
Location: The Pour Haus, 12315 Lake City Way NE, Seattle, WA
Cost: $75
