
Maddy Berkman
Maddy Berkman (she/her) joined Shunpike in 2022 in the role of Marketing Specialist, before pivoting at the end of 2024 to Program Management. Maddy completed a BA in Studio Art at Western Washington University through the Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies before receiving an MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University. She has worked with many arts organizations and nonprofits in and around the Seattle area, and currently manages the Magnuson Park Gallery, a division of the Sand Point Arts and Cultural Exchange. Outside of the arts, Maddy founded a nonprofit organization in 2006 that raises money for pediatric brain cancer research.
Maddy aims to utilize art making, art history, and arts leadership as a tool for people to explore their own realities, create conversation and critically reflect on built and natural environments. In her free time, Maddy enjoys taking her toy poodle to the dog park, reading, traveling, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
