SUMMARY:Valentine's Day Patching Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Valentine’s Day Patching Workshop at Jeni Falldine Sewing & Design Studio! \n\n\n\nBring a garment\, textile\, bag\, or any other fabric item that you’d like to embellish with a heart shaped patch. \n\n\n\nJeni Falldine and Sherry Koyama will provide mini-lessons showing two different methods of sewing on your patch. \n\n\n\nSherry will demo how to hand sew a patch using the traditional Japanese sashiko method\, Jeni will demo a machine sewing method with zigzag stitch\, and then you’ll have time and work space to practice. \n\n\n\nCome learn a new skill and take home a newly revived piece. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a mini sewing lesson and work on a sewing project at our Mending Happy Hour in Belltown at Jeni Falldine Sewing & Design Studio! \n\n\n\n30 minute mending lesson from 6-6:30pm\, followed by a 2 hour open sewing session and socialize with sips and snacks. \n\n\n\nJanuary’s lesson is SEWING SASHIKO PATCHES onto clothing by hand. \n\n\n\nWhen: Thursday\, January 15 | 6:00-8:30pmWhere: Jeni Falldine Sewing & Design Studio\, 2004 1st Ave\, Seattle\, WACost: $30 \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\nSherry Koyama will demo multiple patching methods using the traditional Japanese hand stitching method. For the open sewing session\, bring a sewing project to work on while socializing with fellow sewists and makers. Light refreshments will be provided. \n\n\n\nSome materials are provided: 4 sewing machines\, thread\, pins\, scissors\, hand needles\, and some fabric scraps. Feel free to bring your own scissors\, thread\, sewing needles\, or whatever you will need to work on your project. \n\n\n\nYour co-hosts are Jeni Falldine and Sherry Koyama of Harumi K.
