Unstable Illusions

Using the medium of collage, this installation is inspired by the artist’s childhood neighborhood as remembered through faulty memories. Once conceived of as a oasis full of promise under the dazzling sunshine of the Southwestern US, it materialized as a small cluster of decaying pre-fab houses in a windblown desert with few amenities in sight.
