Tori Haynes’s Seattle Restored activation is a reflection of her multidisciplinary art practice, which blends fine art techniques with inspiration from illustration, children’s art, and surrealism.

Much of her work balances irreverent navel-gazing with a deeper curiosity about connection and meaning. She’s especially drawn to the tension between humor and sincerity, and she uses that to create pieces that feel both playful and emotionally resonant.

Haynes’s background in printmaking and architecture informs the structure of her work, but she intentionally leans into spontaneity and imperfection.

Through this activation, Tori hopes to share work that fosters a sense of weird familiarity. She also sees this as a chance to engage more deeply with Seattle’s creative community and grow her practice in a way that feels true to her voice.
