Giving Their Flowers

“Giving their flowers” series is inspired by and focuses on local black and brown Seattleites as well as close members of Larison’s community that are creating and making waves in Seattle. People that have a passion for creating change that will impact all their futures for the better. A series that is saturated in colors and high contrasts. Each piece connected to the others, symbolizing community and the importance of connection. Each piece is paired with information of the person being depicted in the artwork, expressing their stories and accomplishments. Larison will be focusing on this line of work throughout her residency with Seattle Restored.
