Giving Their Flowers

During her residency with Seattle Restored, Symonne Larison will be working on “Giving Their Flowers”, a series inspired by and focuses on local Black and Brown Seattleites as well as close members of Larison’s community who are creating and making waves in the community—people who have a passion for creating change that will impact all their futures for the better.

“Giving Their Flowers” is saturated in colors and high contrasts. Each piece connected to the others, symbolizing community and the importance of connection. Each piece is paired with information about the person being depicted in the artwork, expressing their stories and accomplishments.
