Valentine’s Day Patching Workshop

Join us for a Valentine’s Day Patching Workshop at Jeni Falldine Sewing & Design Studio!
Bring a garment, textile, bag, or any other fabric item that you’d like to embellish with a heart shaped patch.
Jeni Falldine and Sherry Koyama will provide mini-lessons showing two different methods of sewing on your patch.
Sherry will demo how to hand sew a patch using the traditional Japanese sashiko method, Jeni will demo a machine sewing method with zigzag stitch, and then you’ll have time and work space to practice.
Come learn a new skill and take home a newly revived piece. It’s a great way to show your love for sustainability and perhaps you’ll leave with a heart on your sleeve!?

We will provide:
– heart shaped patches in a variety of sizes and fabrics
– scrap fabric and paper templates to cut your own patches
– scissors
– thread
– needles/pins
– sewing machines
– moral support!
