TASWIRA African Art & Design Gallery, located in the historical Pioneer Square, presents to you the Reggae event of the year! LIVE Reggae Mood Sessions from Seattle’s favorite – The Lion of Judah Band, along with DJ Jordan, drinks and local Jamaican food vendor. Join us in giving back to not only local businesses and creatives in Seattle, but also our indigenous rooted communities in Africa as we fight for freedom and revitalization amongst African diasporas. We’re proud to be a part of such a time for change, innovation, and celebration as we welcome the community into TASWIRA’s home with our FIRST public event! Inspired by modern and cultural traditions of the Maasai Tribe, highlighting handcrafted pieces in support of The Bamburi Women’s Empowerment Center located in Mombasa, Kenya.

-Local Caribbean bites by Mama Nat’s Authentic Jamaican Cuisine
-Drinks
-Special Guest MC
-A percentage of ticket sales will be donated to TASWIRA’s developing women’s empowerment center in Kenya
-NEW collections by TASWIRA – Showcasing local artist exhibit by Edimbo Lekea
