Experience an evening crafted to delight and sharpen the senses featuring a captivating discussion and a journey through exquisite fragrance, beverage, and chocolate samples at Highlighting Origins-—an intimate tasting event series featuring local food and beverage artisans, set in our exquisite Seattle Restored Pop-Up space, the historic Florence Theater in Pioneer Square. Join us for a playful exploration of the words and ways we use to share our sensory experiences.
Human sensory experiences have their own languages and yet they all capture the grounding, balancing, and inspiring nuances that spark physical and emotional discovery, enjoyment, and satisfaction. Whether we’re using a wine tasting grid, a fragrance pyramid, flavor wheel, or color theory to guide the impact of our senses, we’re doing the same thing, clarifying how to communicate what we feel about what we sense.
This event features James Elliott, founder and perfumer at Filigree & Shadow, Juanita Unger, founder of the NA Sommelier, Jennifer Diamond & Joanna Lepore Dwyer, resident flavor designers for A Matter of Taste Seattle.
These sensory experts will guide attendees through samples of chocolate, crafted beverages, and fragrance, demonstrating how to apply sensory language to describe personal experiences. Learn first hand how to apply these methods to craft your own sensory experiences at home.
