SUMMARY:Eco-Resin: Learn How to Make Terrazzo Home Goods
DESCRIPTION:Create colorful terrazzo home décor pieces with eco-resin! \n\n\n\nIn this class\, you’ll make your own colorful chips to use in our terrazzo pieces. The base will be an eco-resin that cures very fast! You’ll be able to leave class with your finished pieces and instructions on how to sand them the next day. \n\n\n\nYou’ll use an eco-resin composite powder that’s water-based and gypsum-based. Once fully cured\, the final product is extremely durable—and beautiful! \n\n\n\nA variety of molds and colors will be available—not necessarily limited to those pictured. Each student will create their own colorful chips and use them to craft a selection of home goods such as trays\, candle holders\, and coasters. \n\n\n\nWhen: Saturday\, November 22\, 1-3:30pmWhere: The Pour Haus\, 12315 Lake City Way NECost: $85 \n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Terrazzo?Terrazzo is a durable and customizable composite material with a distinct speckled\, mosaic-like aesthetic. It’s typically made from chips of marble\, glass\, granite\, or other aggregates set in a binder such as cement or resin. The top layer is sanded away to reveal the colorful chips. \n\n\n\nAbout the Guest InstructorRosalie Gale is best known for co-inventing Shower Art—waterproof art to hang in your shower. She and her husband\, Doug\, own Ugly Baby and have been making a living creating delightfully weird art pieces for longer than anyone really expected.
